We’ve designed IAM Mobility Exchange (IAMX) to be as user-friendly and intuitive as possible. However, with so many powerful features packed into one platform, a bit of complexity is inevitable. Like any robust online tool, IAMX takes a little time and exploration to get the most out of it—and I’m here to help you every step of the way.

What is IAMX?

IAM Mobility Exchange (IAMX) aspires to be the universal service provider directory for the global moving and storage industry. While that’s an ambitious goal, IAMX is already the most comprehensive and trusted database of moving, relocation, and mobility-related service providers and suppliers worldwide.

At the heart of IAMX is our Validation System, which gives IAM Members a platform to showcase their company’s membership status, quality credentials, and compliance qualifications—all verified through supporting documentation and resource links.

Built on this validation framework, the IAMTrusted Moving Company and IAMTrusted Supplier programs work in tandem with the IAM Issue Resolution System (IIRS). This system provides real-time confirmation of a member’s adherence to the IAM Code of Ethics, and their commitment to fair, professional business practices.

Beyond its role as a directory, IAMX also functions as the Association Management System for IAM. It enables seamless communication and engagement between the association and its global membership. Through a secure, role-based access system, IAM Members can interact with the IIRS, update and enhance their company and individual contact profiles—highlighting capabilities, certifications, and qualifications to peers and partners across the industry.

Emex is an AI-powered chatbot built on the OpenAI ChatGPT model. What makes Emex unique is that it has been specifically trained on the content of the IAM Mobility Exchange (IAMX), International Association of Movers (IAM), and Global Moving Foundation websites. This ensures that the information it provides is relevant, trustworthy, and tailored to professionals in the global moving and mobility industry.

While you can search for information about IAM, IAMX, or the moving industry using tools like Google, ChatGPT, or Perplexity, Emex is different. Its responses are based solely on carefully curated content from our official web domains, giving you accurate answers without the noise.

A good example of this is the IAM Country Guides. These valuable resources, published on IAM’s official webpages, are included in Emex’s training—meaning Emex understands and can reference their content.

You can still view a Country Guide online or download it as a PDF. But now, you can also ask Emex specific questions about a country’s customs clearance guidelines—saving you time and helping you get to the information you need faster.

Even better, Emex is multilingual. You can ask your question in your preferred language, and Emex will respond in that same language—making access to critical information even more seamless, no matter where you’re located.

Although Emex includes some automated reasoning and logic capabilities, we’ve intentionally limited these functions so that it focuses on delivering fact-based responses.

Please note: Emex is currently in its Beta Testing Phase. Most of the responses are accurate and helpful, but remember it’s still learning and improving every day.

This learning process, known as training, helps Emex better understand questions and respond using natural human language. As a chatbot, Emex is always available—24/7—and it never stops learning.
